Job summary

A healthcare provider in Livonia, MI, is seeking a part-time Cardiovascular Technician to assist in invasive cardiovascular procedures. Responsibilities include preparing and monitoring patients during procedures, along with recognizing ECG rhythms. The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology, along with BLS/ACLS certification. Flexibility is required to respond to the cath lab within 30 minutes when on call.

Qualifications

• RCIS/RCES (CCI) or CI (ARRT) certification preferred.
• BLS/ACLS required.
• Must be available to respond to cath lab within 30 minutes when on call.

Responsibilities

• Assist the cardiologist in invasive cardiovascular procedures.

Job description

Position Overview

Scrubs and gowns for surgery to assist the cardiologist in all aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures. Performs a variety of specialized and complex invasive and non‑invasive cardiovascular procedures. Assists the cardiologist in all surgical and diagnostic procedures. Prepares patients and assists in monitoring the patient’s condition during invasive cardiovascular procedures.

Required Education, Experience and Certification/Licensure

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education in Cardiovascular Technology or related field required.
• RCIS/RCES (CCI) or CI (ARRT) certification preferred.
• BLS/ACLS required.
• Must be available to respond to cath lab within 30 minutes when on call.
