HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital is seeking a Cardiac EP Tech to assist in electrophysiology procedures. Responsibilities include monitoring cases, supporting physicians during ablation procedures, and ensuring sterile techniques during device implants.

The ideal candidate will have ACLS and BCLS certifications, be eligible for RCIS or RCES, and hold an Associate or Bachelor's Degree. The role offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and tuition assistance.

Cardiac EP Tech – Responsibilities

Scrubbing Electrophysiology procedures. Monitoring these cases in the hemodynamic system, pacing and monitoring rhythms. Assisting the Cath lab for cardiac, neurointerventional and holding area as needed.

Assist physician or support by monitoring cases involving radiofrequency ablation for arrhythmias, cryoablation for atrial fibrillation, pacing heart rhythms during procedures, assisting physician to operate ablators during procedures, analyzing complex arrhythmias to support physician during procedures, monitoring fluoroscopy for accuracy in catheter placement during cases, sterile technique for assisting physician during device implants for permanent pacemakers, chronic resynchronization therapy devices and internal cardio defibrillator devices and all other duties as assigned. Support left atrial appendage closure cases.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• RT Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer, or RRT/RCP-State Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner, or NBRC-RRT Registered Respiratory Therapist
• RCIS Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, or RCES Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist
• Must be eligible to sit for either the RCIS or RCES if otherwise not licensed
• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
