Job summary

ChristianaCare in Newark, DE is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Heart Failure Unit on 5E. This full-time day/midnight rotating role supports high-acuity cardiac care, including post-operative open-heart and LVAD patients, with emphasis on assessment and monitoring.

BSN preferred with commitment to obtain BSN within three years; requires Delaware RN licensure, BLS, and at least one year of RN experience; offers comprehensive benefits, tuition assistance, PTO, and paid parental leave.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of hire
• At least one year of experience as an RN required
• Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in Delaware
• BLS required; ACLS preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex heart failure and post-operative cardiac needs
• Perform advanced assessments and continuous hemodynamic and cardiac monitoring
• Administer medications and educate patients and families
• Early detection of changes in patient condition and escalation as needed
