Job summary

White Oak Medical Center seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Heart and Vascular Unit. The RN will educate patients and families, develop care plans, and mentor team members while providing compassionate, evidence-based care.

The role requires Maryland RN licensure, NCLEX, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP as needed. Employment is full-time with a day shift and rotating weekends in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing score on NCLEX.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Current Maryland State nursing license.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.
• Preferred: Dysrhythmia proficiency and at least one year of acute clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families across the continuum of care.
• Serve as role model to Level I nurses and support best practices.
• Use equipment and technology correctly and delegate non-nursing duties.
• Develop care plans and monitor patient condition changes.
• Mentor students, colleagues and team members.
• Conduct purposeful rounds from patient and family perspective.
