Job summary

Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our cardiac care team in Lubbock, TX. The role involves adolescent to geriatric acute care, unit-based nursing plans, medication administration, and patient education.

We offer a family atmosphere, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for advancement. Current Texas RN license required; BSN preferred; BCLS/ACLS required. Shift 7a-3p, full time.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Currently licensed in the state of Texas.
• BSN preferred.
• BCLS and ACLS required.
• 2-5 years' experience in cardiac care setting.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in PACU.

Responsibilities

• Assesses nursing needs of adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in acute care.
• Develops and documents a nursing care plan with measurable goals.
• Plans discharge and follow-up tailored to patient/family needs.
• Administers medications safely in acute care units.
• Educates patients and families about care and post-discharge needs.
• Maintains accurate medical records and communicates with the care team.
• Operates unit equipment and participates in QA activities.
