Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center seeks a Charge Nurse for the Cath Lab to provide leadership and direct nursing care in a high-acuity setting. You will coordinate a multi-disciplinary team, oversee shift operations, and ensure safe, patient-centered care aligned with hospital goals.

The role requires RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and 1+ year of acute care experience with supervisory skills. Diversity of units and ongoing certification requirements are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at time of hire.
• Current active Florida or Compact Nursing License.
• Minimum of one year full-time or three years part-time experience in acute care specialty nursing.
• One to three years of supervisory experience, preferred.
• ACLS as of start date for all units; NRP for Women’s Center; NIH within 90 days for ICU/PCU; PALS/CPI for ER; PALS for PACU.

Responsibilities

• Assumes shift responsibility and accountability for planning and provision of nursing care.
• Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members and directs nursing staff.
• Develops goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans for patients and families.
• Participates in bedside report to ease anxiety and discuss care progress.
• Provide care respectful of patient values and family involvement.
