Job summary

The successful candidate will have at least one year in healthcare, strong MS Word/Outlook skills, knowledge of HCPCS/ICD-10/CPT coding, and English/Spanish bilingual ability preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have one year minimum in working in the health care field.
• Proficient computer skills (MS Word and Outlook).
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HCPCS, ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Verify and comply with payer contractual authorization requirements.
• Submit authorization request timely and efficiently, ensuring proper documentation is included for review.
• Utilize website portal and electronic options to submit authorization requests.
• Work with PBS Teams to resolve auth related issues.
• Maintain and follow up on authorization timelines specific to patient care and reimbursement.
• Utilize EPIC workflows and report on workflow changes as well as payer authorization updates.
• Work with management to identify payer trends or potential issues.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills in the performance of work assignments and duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
