Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for Cardiac Acute Care on the Full Time Night shift. This non-licensed role performs nursing support tasks, patient transport, room cleaning, stocking, and direct patient care under supervision of the shift nurse.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• CCHT certification is required for dialysis unit only.
• No prior experience required; NGHS offers in-house PCT Academy.
• Bi-lingual basic language skills preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform patient care tasks.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and report vital signs and basic patient data.
• Assist with mobility, ADL, and patient comfort per protocol.
• Transport patients and deliver supplies; respond to call lights.
• Document patient data promptly in IT systems.
• Maintain safety and infection prevention standards.
