Job summary

Summit Credit Union is seeking an Assistant Manager, Card Services to lead the people, processes, technology, and partnerships behind our credit and debit card programs. You will report to the AVP of Payments and drive operational leadership, vendor relationships, and ongoing improvements in service quality and member experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years in card operations, payment processing, or financial services.
• Knowledge of credit/debit card operations, card platforms, and Visa regulations.
• Leadership or project experience with ability to guide performance and priorities.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and service levels.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to assess risk and identify process improvements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day card operations, platforms, reporting, inventory, promotions, and vendor processes.
• Coach and develop employees to deliver excellent service and resolve issues.
• Monitor regulatory and industry developments and assess impacts.
• Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities to strengthen controls and reporting.
• Lead or support card initiatives, vendor enhancements, and business continuity.
• Manage vendor relationships and performance expectations.
• Resolve escalated member, employee, and vendor concerns with sound judgment.
