Job summary

Johnsonville is hiring for Harvest floor positions in Wisconsin. Members will disassemble sow carcasses, remove hides, organs and carcass parts for sausage production, with various line-based roles on the Harvest Floor.

Responsibilities include cutting, cleaning and maintaining tools, adhering to GMP and safety policies, and participating in meetings and safety trainings. Prior knife skills are helpful, comfort with blood and odors is required, and ability to lift and stand for long shifts is

Qualifications

• Experience in meat processing is a plus.
• Comfort with handling carcasses and odors.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced line environment.

Responsibilities

• Cutting and preparing sow carcasses for further processing.
• Removing hide and internal organs, trimming and inspecting the carcass.
• Cleaning, sharpening and maintaining knives and equipment.
• Learn and perform several functions in the department at line speed.
• Adhere to GMP and safety policies.
• Attend plant meetings and complete safety observations and trainings.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.
