Job summary

Johnsonville is hiring for an hourly manufacturing role on the Harvest Floor in Holton, Kansas. You will work with sow carcasses, trim, debone support, and assist the De-Boning Department to turn carcasses into finished products. This position requires comfort working with animal parts and exposure to odor and noise.

Responsibilities include instrument and tool maintenance, line-speed tasks, GMP compliance, and safety trainings. Must be 18+, pass pre-employment screening for external candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knife Skills preferred but not required.
• Teamwork is a must.
• The ability to coach your peers.

Responsibilities

• Cutting and preparing sow carcasses for further sausage processing.
• Removing hide and internal organs, trimming, and inspecting the sow's carcass.
• Cleaning, sharpening, and maintaining knives, tools and equipment.
• Learn and perform several job functions in department at line speed.
• Adhere to all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and Safety policies.
• Attend all plant meetings and complete monthly safety observations and trainings.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.
