Job summary

One Acre Fund is seeking a Carbon Finance Manager/Lead to ensure that our agroforestry carbon programs have strong, accessible financial modeling and reliable on-the-ground reflections. You’ll translate operational models into investment-grade statements to support AMC, funding, and financing partnerships.

Reporting to the Payments for Ecosystem Services team within the Impact and R&D Division, this role collaborates with Finance, Business Development, and Program Operations to turn data into

Qualifications

• Academic background in finance, economics, PES, or related field.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and accounting standards.
• Experience with PES programs and Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM).
• Ability to build team fluency in financial models.
• Experience budgeting across multi-year horizons.
• Strong project management with diverse stakeholders.
• 5+ years in climate finance or related field; 3+ years preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in our countries of operation (Kenya, Rwanda, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Own financial modelling and analysis for carbon projects.
• Maintain program- and portfolio-level rollups for leadership.
• Support analysis to identify opportunities for performance improvement.
