Job summary

Haffner’s, a regional wholesale fuel distributor based in Lawrence, MA, seeks a Director of Car Wash Operations to lead all operational aspects and ensure adherence to company standards. This onsite role requires coordinating monthly membership plans, reviewing weekly sales, launching new sites, managing vendor relationships, and overseeing site managers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CAR WASH INDUSTRY experience, 10+ years preferred.
• Experience managing multi-site car wash operations.
• Successful track record growing membership-based or subscription programs and leading multi-site sales teams.
• Prior P&L responsibility with understanding of financial drivers and metrics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and retain high quality site managers.
• Collaborate with site managers to ensure all car wash personnel have the requisite training, skills, and resources necessary to excel.
• Create a culture of accountability across the organization by enforcing company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Drive performance through monitoring KPIs and taking corrective action when needed.
• Manage profits and losses for each location.
• Lead the car wash safety program including OSHA compliance and internal policies.
• Develop and monitor equipment maintenance programs for each location and ensure follow-up.
• Evaluate current sites for upgrades and remodels.
• Source replacement parts and new equipment.
• Primary contact with car wash suppliers, software, and equipment vendors.
• Drive membership growth across all car wash locations through effective sales strategies and customer retention.
