Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks an Associate Scientist for the Gene Engineering and Delivery team in Seattle to advance next-generation cancer immunotherapies through molecular design and viral vector engineering. The role focuses on designing, cloning, characterizing, and producing viral vectors for CAR T cell therapies.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with molecular biology, mammalian cell culture, and gene delivery workflows in a fast-paced research environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline with 2+ years of academic or industry experience.
  • Strong molecular biology skills including cloning, PCR, RT-PCR, and nucleic acid prep.
  • Experience with tissue culture, transfection, transduction of mammalian cells, and CAR T cell workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Design and clone DNA constructs for CAR T cell therapy development.
  • Culture mammalian cell lines for viral vector production and gene delivery applications.
  • Set up molecular and cellular assays to evaluate viral vector performance and gene delivery.
