Hylant in the United States is seeking a Captive Reinsurance Accountant to support evaluation and management of reinsurance contracts, claims, and relationships with reinsurers. You will prepare technical, financial accounting of premium, claims, and reserves based on statements of accounts or bordereaux.

The role emphasizes compliance with policies, effective collaboration with internal and external partners, and continuous process improvement.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in reinsurance accounting or related financial area.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Skilled at building and maintaining internal and external (carrier) relationships.
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness to travel by car or airplane for meetings and conferences.

• Review and analyze reinsurance contracts for policy adherence.
• Manage processing and settlement of reinsurance claims with accuracy.
• Generate reinsurance reports and support decision-making with analysis.
• Provide Statutory and Reinsurance Accounting guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Identify and drive opportunities for process improvement and standardization.
• Participate in training to stay current with systems, processes and changes.
• Keep SOPs and training guides up to date in collaboration with Captive Account Executives.
• Perform other duties and special projects as requested.
