Job summary

Pacific Maritime Group is seeking a Captain/200-Ton Master of Tow in San Diego to safely transport barges and oversee the crew, vessel, and tow in harbor and open water.

The role offers a flexible schedule with full-time, part-time, casual, or hitch work at our San Diego and Long Beach locations, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401K, and a year-end bonus.

Qualifications

• TWIC card required.
• Passport required.
• DBIDS eligibility.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Current Driver’s License.
• 3-5 years of experience.
• Strong decision making and problem solving.
• Knowledge of navigational methods.
• Proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Accountability for vessel and crew performance.
• Safely docking and undocking ships.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and clean.
• Lead safety and discipline of crew.
• Log near miss and incidents.
