Job summary

Brigham Young University seeks an Adjunct Faculty coach to mentor a cybersecurity capstone team and support capstone design education onsite in Provo, UT. The ideal candidate has a BS in cybersecurity, CS, or engineering, with MS preferred, and must complete the degree by the start date.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have a BS degree in cybersecurity, computer science, engineering, or a related field and be able to start on date specified.
• MS degree is preferred but not required.
• The degree must be completed by the start date.
• Demonstrated career success and a genuine interest in design education are required.
• Strong commitment to BYU policies and mission is expected.

Responsibilities

• Mentor the capstone team of 5–7 members through the design process.
• Guide project structure, workflow, and design methodology based on sponsor expectations.
• Learn and share capstone policies with the student team.
• Coach students throughout the capstone lifecycle and attend relevant meetings.
• Establish and maintain relationships with the project sponsor and BYU faculty.
• Help keep realistic scope, timelines, and deliverables; support professional skills development.
