Brigham Young University’s Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering invites applications for an Adjunct Teaching position for CBE 461: Capstone Coach II Projects. The role starts January 6, 2027 and requires a BS in engineering or related field with MS preferred.
The candidate should have proven chemical engineering experience and a passion for guiding senior student teams through industry-sponsored projects.

Demonstrated success within career as a chemical engineer. Demonstrate an interest and passion in guiding senior chemical engineering student groups through group organization and problem solving on industry sponsored projects.
Ability to spend an average of 4-6 hours per week between 8-10 AM M-F coaching a team of engineering students (5-7 members) for winter semester 2027. Help student groups self-organize, problem solve and successfully complete their assigned project by producing deliverables. Must also be able to support the mission of Brigham Young University.
This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.
