Job summary

Brigham Young University in Utah is seeking an Adjunct Teaching candidate for Chemical & Biological Engineering (CBE 461: Capstone). The role coaches a team of 5-7 senior students on industry-sponsored capstone projects, dedicating 4-6 hours weekly between 8-10 AM Monday through Friday for Winter 2027.

Requirements include a BS in engineering (MS preferred) and willingness to relocate to Utah for the duration.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering required; MS preferred.
• Ability to coach senior chemical engineering student groups on capstone projects.
• Must be able to relocate to Utah for duration of employment.

Responsibilities

• Coach a team of 5-7 students for 4-6 hours weekly between 8-10 AM MT.
• Help student groups organize, problem solve, and deliver project deliverables.
• Support BYU's mission and university policies.
• Attend weekly sponsor and faculty coach meetings.
• Maintain an excellent working relationship with the sponsor’s liaison engineer.
• Maintain realistic project scope throughout winter semester.
