Brigham Young University seeks an Adjunct Teaching Coach for CBE 461 Capstone II projects in Chemical & Biological Engineering. The role requires a BS in engineering (MS preferred) and experience guiding senior capstone teams through industry-sponsored projects.

Expect 4-6 hours weekly coaching mornings 8–10, Jan 2027 start, with relocation to Utah. Responsibilities include mentoring a 5–7 member student team, attending sponsor and faculty meetings, and upholding Capstone policies while aligning

Qualifikationen

  • BS degree in engineering or related field is required (start date). MS degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated success as a chemical engineer and interest in guiding senior capstone teams.
  • Willingness to relocate to Utah and coach student teams during winter 2027.

Job Title: Adjunct Teaching - Chemical & Biological Engineering - CBE 461: Capstone Coach II ProjectsPosting End Date: October 21, 2026*NOTE: Last day to apply is Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 11:59pm (MT)Position Start Date: January 6, 2027Required Degree:BS degree in engineering or related field required. MS degree preferred.The required degree must be completed by the start date.Experience:Demonstrated success within career as a chemical engineer. Demonstrate an interest and passion in guiding senior chemical engineering student groups through group organization and problem solving on industry sponsored projects.Duties/Expectations:Ability to spend an average of 4-6 hours per week between 8-10 AM M-F coaching a team of engineering students (5-7 members) for winter semester 2027. Help student groups self-organize, problem solve and successfully complete their assigned project by producing deliverables.
