Job summary

The Legislative Services Office is hiring part-time Information Center Specialists for the 2027 legislative session. The session begins January 11, 2027, and runs through adjournment in late March or early April. Paid training is scheduled for January 7–8.

These temporary positions require a professional demeanor, strong communication, and nonpartisan service. Responsibilities include answering public questions, relaying messages to legislators, handling bills, and occasionally giving Capitol

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Proficiency with multi-line phone systems, computers, Outlook and Word.
• Ability to take notes and enter data accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with the public and maintain nonpartisan stance.
• Availability to work the part-time schedule for the full session (Jan 11, 2027 to adjournment).

Responsibilities

• Answer questions from the public by phone, email, and in person.
• Relay messages for legislators by phone and email.
• Sort, distribute, and file bills.
• Occasionally provide Capitol tours.
• Perform other duties as needed.
