Job summary

The Office of State Senator Kathleen Taylor is seeking a full-time, limited-duration Legislative Assistant 2 for the 2027 Legislative Session.

The role will be the first point of contact for the office, providing general administrative support such as scheduling while performing duties including writing talking points and floor speeches, constituent & stakeholder outreach, casework, research, and bill tracking as necessary.

Qualifications

• The position requires a Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Write talking points and floor speeches.
• Coordinate scheduling and administrative tasks.
• Conduct constituent and stakeholder outreach.
• Perform casework, research, and bill tracking as needed.
• Work under supervision of the Senator and report to senior staff.
• Travel within Oregon as required.
