Job summary

The State of Montana Department of Administration is seeking a Facility Maintenance Manager to lead the Capitol Complex facilities maintenance team, including general maintenance, carpentry, and painting. Responsibilities include ensuring coverage for facility emergencies and overseeing preventative maintenance to protect capitol infrastructure.

You will work with multiple CFM teams and coordinate with project management for remodeling and special projects.

Qualifications

• Requires two-year college or vocational training and supervisory experience.
• Five years in construction and maintenance trades; management of a facilities team across multiple sites may be required.
• Alternate combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision for a dynamic facilities maintenance team.
• Manage O&M of the Capitol Complex, focusing on preventative maintenance and repairs of facilities and large buildings.
• Ensure materials and supplies are available for the facilities team to be successful.
• Promote safety culture and follow safety rules and procedures.
• Oversee integrated building systems and infrastructure; collaborate with HVAC, Building Automation, Custodial, and Landscape teams.
• Understand carpentry and painting trades to lead and manage customer expectations.
