Job summary

The Chief Clerk of the Oregon House of Representatives is recruiting House Doorkeeper / Pages for the upcoming 2027 Legislative Session. These are full time, limited duration positions beginning January 4, 2027 and will last no later than July 2, 2027.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency. No experience is required; comprehensive training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Delivering legislative documents and correspondence to committees, offices, and other designated locations within the Capitol.
• Assisting with the distribution of floor letters, bills, and amendments to legislators during House sessions.
• Managing the flow of communication by running messages between members and staff within the House chamber and across the Capitol.
• Preparing the House chamber for daily sessions by ensuring materials are properly distributed and assisting with setup as needed.
• Supporting chamber staff in maintaining order and promoting a clean and safe environment for legislators and visitors.
