Job summary

State of Oregon is seeking House Doorkeeper/Pages for the 2027 Legislative Session. These are full-time, limited-duration roles beginning January 4, 2027 and ending July 2, 2027, on-site in Salem at the Oregon State Capitol. Responsibilities include distributing documents, assisting with floor sessions, and ensuring orderly operations.

No prior experience is required; training is provided. Flexibility with hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• No experience required; comprehensive training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver legislative documents and correspondence to committees, offices, and designated locations within the Capitol.
• Assist with the distribution of floor letters, bills, and amendments to legislators during House sessions.
• Manage the flow of communication by running messages between members and staff within the House chamber and across the Capitol.
• Prepare the House chamber for daily sessions by ensuring materials are properly distributed and assisting with setup as needed.
• Support chamber staff in maintaining order and promoting a clean and safe environment for legislators and visitors.
