New York City Economic Development Corporation is seeking a capable project professional to lead the Capital Program’s design and construction initiatives within municipal infrastructure. Responsibilities

• Manages all phases of development, including procurement of the architecture, engineering, and construction teams; implementing existing conditions assessments, programming, and feasibility studies; budgeting project costs; maintaining project schedule throughout construction; and tracking all aspects of regulatory submissions and permitting in anticipation of project close-out.
• Effectively builds relationships and represents the team with senior staff and external stakeholders.
• Monitors and ensures project goals are met, including scope, budget, and schedule objectives.
• Executes a risk-based management approach to project delivery, which includes identifying, forecasting, and appropriately mitigating project risk.
• Develops and implements solutions to complex problems collaboratively and in coordination with both team members and supervisors.
• Exerts a direct level of influence over project teams to achieve desired outcomes.
• Navigates regulatory and approval processes to ensure continuous project momentum.
• Creates, builds, and develop effective working relationships with consultants and agency officials.
• Remains updated on emerging trends in design and construction.
• Coordinates between the various departments at NYCEDC to ensure that the relevant expertise is applied as situations arise.
• Contributes to the development of new innovations, processes, and standards.
• Correctly interprets and applies NYCEDC policies and procedures as needed.
• Communicates effectively and inclusively at all levels of the organization.
