Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Procurement & Contracts Management Consultant to support a large-scale manufacturing facility expansion in a highly regulated industry. Based in Gaithersburg or Frederick, MD, this hybrid role partners with project leadership, engineering teams, and suppliers to manage procurement and contracting through the capital project lifecycle.

Qualifications

5+ years in procurement, sourcing, or contracting on capital projects.
Experience with engineering, architectural, construction, or technical services.
Experience in regulated environments (pharma, life sciences) preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead procurement and sourcing for engineering, construction, and facility expansion.
Develop RFPs, RFQs, bid packages, and vendor selection processes.
Source and negotiate SOWs, MSAs, purchase agreements, and other contracts.
Conduct vendor evaluations, price negotiations, and ensure value.
Coordinate contract approvals and execution per policies.
Partner with project teams to support procurement planning and delivery.
Monitor supplier performance and track cost savings initiatives.
Support procurement reporting and spend analysis throughout the lifecycle.
