Job summary

HF Sinclair in Salt Lake City, Utah seeks a Project Manager Capital Projects to coordinate and execute multiple Capital and Expense Projects, enhancing plant safety, compliance, reliability, and profitability across sites. You will lead cross-functional teams from FEL to startup, driving cost control and schedule adherence while maintaining HF Sinclair engineering standards.

The role requires 5+ years of capital project management experience in a refinery-like setting, a mechanical engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering preferred; other engineering degrees considered or equivalent experience in Petrochemical/Refinery.
• 5+ years of progressive experience managing capital projects in a refinery or similar process industry.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage multiple capital projects from $3MM to $75MM.
• Serve as single point of accountability for project status and performance.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams from FEL through commissioning and startup.
• Ensure compliance with HF Sinclair engineering practices and applicable regulations.
• Develop and maintain detailed project execution plans (engineering, procurement, construction, start-up).
• Manage project cost estimates and schedules; report cost and schedule performance.
