Job summary

HF Sinclair seeks an Instrument & Controls Project Manager to coordinate and execute multiple capital and expense projects at the Woods Cross refinery. You will lead cross-functional teams through FEL, commissioning, and startup, ensuring safety, reliability, and environmental compliance.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in refinery project management, a mechanical engineering background, and hands-on experience with project controls and startup activities. Travel up to 5% may be required.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience managing capital projects in refinery or similar process industries.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams through FEL to startup.
• Strong knowledge of engineering practices and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage multiple capital projects from $100K to $5M.
• Serve as single point of accountability for project status and performance.
• Lead cross-functional teams from FEL through commissioning and startup.
• Ensure compliance with HF Sinclair engineering practices and regulations.
• Develop and facilitate Project Execution Plans across scope, cost, and schedule.
• Produce cost estimates and project schedules; monitor variances.
• Engage in process safety management and change control processes.
• Drive safety through design, execution, and field planning activities.
• Coordinate environmental permits and bid specifications for services and materials.
• Identify and manage project risks; report cost/schedule performance.
• Support turnaround planning and post-project closeout documentation.
