Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Columbus, GA is seeking a Capital Manager to support the operations team in executing a transformational strategy for incoming manufacturing equipment and facility restructuring.

You will manage project finances, schedules, and turnover activities, coordinate cross-functional teams for F135 manufacturing growth, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance on site; some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Project Management, or related field with 5+ years in engineering or manufacturing operations.
• Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project.
• Ability to create clear project documentation, reports, presentations, and status updates for leadership.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
• Understanding of Machine Tools and their functions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage project financials, including budgeting, eCars submissions, purchase orders, invoicing, and cost tracking.
• Develop, maintain, and coordinate integrated project schedules across multiple departments to ensure alignment and on-time execution.
• Oversee machine installation timelines, Facilities & Services preventive maintenance schedules, and site-level project readiness activities.
• Monitor job site activities to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient project execution.
• Facilitate communication and coordination among cross-functional teams, including Operations, Engineering, EHS, Maintenance, Quality, and Digital.
• Support operational turnover activities by ensuring training, documentation, communication plans, and compliance actions are completed.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and escalation issues that may impact project timelines or operational readiness.
• Provide regular status reporting, metrics, and updates to leadership on project progress, financial performance, and schedule adherence.
