Job summary

The City of Surprise is seeking incumbents who will oversee the initiation, planning, design, construction monitoring, control, and closeout of complex capital projects. You will manage design consultants, architects, and contractors, coordinate permits and right-of-way clearances, and ensure stakeholder involvement and City Council engagement.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with at least three years of experience in project or construction management or related fields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience in project or construction management, construction project inspections and/or planning/coordinating building or construction projects or other directly related experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage initiation, planning, design, construction monitoring, controlling, and closeout of complex capital projects.
• Manage design consultants, architects, and contractors on various projects.
• Coordinate design plan approvals, permits, utility and right-of-way clearances, and stakeholder coordination.
• Facilitate public and City Council involvement.

Education

Bachelor's degree plus 3 years experience in project/construction management
