Job summary

Entergy is seeking a Manager of Capital Projects in Louisiana to lead a high‑performing team and deliver a portfolio of capital projects on schedule, within budget, and with top quality. You will mentor project managers, drive robust controls, manage risk, and collaborate with finance and stakeholders to meet safety and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes leadership, process improvement, and effective communication across cross‑functional teams and vendors to achieve strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or additional relevant field experience.
• 7 years of related experience in formal project management, Capital Project Management preferred, or 10 years of relevant work experience instead of a degree.
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and strategic objectives.
• Manage project scope, budget, schedule, and risk, using effective project controls and documentation.
• Oversee project teams, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Negotiate contracts and oversee procurement and vendor selection processes.
• Monitor contractor and vendor performance, ensuring quality and adherence to expectations.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within project teams.
• Communicate project plans, progress, and results clearly to all stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Support team development through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
• Use project management tools and technology to organize, track, and report project progress.
• Coordinate project handoffs and process alignment across departments for seamless execution.
