Job summary

Grillo's Pickles is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer in Columbus, Indiana to lead capital projects and drive the strategic plan through process, packaging, and system improvements.

The role develops and implements CAPEX plans, supports day-to-day continuous improvement, and supervises contractors while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity. Strong engineering background and collaboration across teams are required.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and customer relationship experience in project engineering.

• Facilitates open communication and a team approach to resolving issues.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with financial, scheduling, and implementation aspects.
• Engineering principles, troubleshooting, and data analysis proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support as a technical resource in training, codes, and policies impacting safety, quality, and productivity.
• Investigate and develop new solutions to production and process needs.
• Pursue zero-loss culture by supporting day-to-day initiatives for zero incidents, zero yield loss, and reduced downtime.
• Collaborate with plant operations and engineering to identify and develop the CAPEX plan for the year.
• Support capital projects through implementation.
• Provide regular capital project updates to plant management and external stakeholders.
• Supervise contractors, vendors, and outside engineering firms; ensure safe installations.
• Maintain vendor relationships and adherence to Grillo’s values.
• Collaborate with all departments to problem solve and support growth.
• Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.
