Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. (AQN) seeks an Administrator II, Capital Projects in Litchfield Park, AZ to support water operations. The role includes capital project cost administration, maintaining fixed asset and GIS documentation, and assisting in master planning and project administration.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in a water utility or related field, proficiency with Microsoft Office, GIS experience, and valid driver’s license with willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of technical experience in a water utility or related field.
• Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience with construction administration for an investor-owned utility is preferred.
• General knowledge of accounting, project management and construction management practices is preferred.
• Microsoft Office products experience required.
• Geographic Information System (GIS) software experience preferred.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills required.
• Driver's license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Assists in project cost administration and fixed asset allocations, maintaining project documentation and operations and maintenance records.
• Assists in the construction of projects by ordering materials and services and maintains records for capital project files.
• Assists in the preparation of letters, memoranda, reports, project specifications, and other written communication.
• Assists with the preparation and tracking of capital budgets.
• Assists in the creation and maintenance of facility system maps and facility management systems.
• Updates Fixed Asset and GIS databases and utilizes those systems to provide data and analyses for others.
• Assists in the timely collection and processing of as-built documentation for construction projects.
• Executes work with new technology requiring technical knowledge of SAP EAM, DDS and GIS.
