Job summary

Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. (AQN), parent company of Liberty, seeks an engineer to support Liberty Utilities water operations, including capital project cost management and fixed asset documentation.

The role may involve assisting with water system master planning and various construction projects. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of technical experience in a water utility, an Associate degree, and strong Excel skills; familiarity with SAP EAM, DDS, and GIS is a plus.

Qualifications

Three to five years of technical experience in a water utility or related field.
Associate's degree preferred.
Experience with construction administration for an investor-owned utility preferred.
General knowledge of accounting, project management, and construction practices.

Responsibilities

Assists in project cost administration and fixed asset allocations, maintaining project documentation.
Assists in construction by ordering materials and services and maintaining capital project files.
Assists in preparing letters, reports, and project specifications.
Assists with capital budgets and facility system maps.
Updates Fixed Asset and GIS databases for data analyses.
