Job summary

The Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA), General Services Division, is seeking a Building & Planning Manager to oversee critical real property and infrastructure operations. This leadership role will manage a team responsible for tenant improvements, asset management, relocations, and capital planning across state properties.

Responsibilities include capital planning, project selection, budget forecasting, and coordination with the Governor’s Office.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of architecture, construction engineering, and facility maintenance.
• Experience with capital investment expenditure planning and cost control.
• Familiarity with public procurement laws, JCCR processes, and legislative appropriations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate the annual Capital Improvement Plan for Governor’s Office.
• Supervise a multi-person team across Tenant Improvements, space management, and capital planning.
• Manage multi-project construction contracts from inception to completion.
• Oversee project budgets and expenditures to ensure funds are encumbered and spent appropriately.
• Direct agency relocations, space allocations, and rent charges across owned and leased facilities.
