Capital Markets Strategy & Project Manager

Sr. Associate / Associate Director

Remote (India based) 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM IST Sr. Associate / Associate Director

About RegEdge

RegEdge is a global boutique consulting firm dedicated to assisting financial institutions in navigating complex regulatory landscapes. Our team is comprised of former Big 4 consulting and industry professionals with extensive experience in capital markets. We have teams based in New York (USA), London (UK) and multiple locations in India.

The Opportunity

RegEdge is expanding its capital markets practice and seeks seasoned professionals who can lead client engagements end-to-end. This is a high-visibility role at the intersection of US capital markets regulation, risk advisory, and program delivery. You will manage cross-functional teams, engage senior stakeholders at leading financial institutions, and drive transformational outcomes for our clients globally.

Role Description

We are seeking MBA graduates from premier institutions with 5–10 years of post-MBA experience, ideally in capital markets risk and compliance, regulatory strategy, or related domains. As a Project Manager at RegEdge, you will own the planning, execution, and delivery of complex client engagements—driving both business impact and thought leadership in an entrepreneurial, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end project delivery for capital markets engagements across risk, regulation, and data transformation workstreams.

Own project governance: scope, timelines, budgets, resource plans, risk registers, and executive status reporting.

Serve as the primary point of contact for client senior leadership (C-suite, MD level); manage relationships and expectations proactively.

Translate complex US regulatory requirements into actionable project plans and workstreams.

Collaborate with data and technology teams to design and oversee regulatory reporting, trade surveillance, and risk analytics solutions.

Drive business development activities including RFP responses, proposal development, and client presentations.

Mentor junior team members and contribute to RegEdge's internal knowledge-building and capability development.

Contribute to thought leadership, white papers, and market positioning materials in capital markets risk and regulation.

Qualifications

MBA from a Tier 1 institution (IIM A/B/C/K/L/I, XLRI Jamshedpur, or ISB) — required.

5–10 years of post-MBA professional experience in capital markets, financial services consulting, or a related domain.

Strong understanding of US capital markets structure, instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives, commodities), and market participants.

Demonstrated experience in regulatory risk, compliance transformation, or market risk management — preferred.

Undergraduate background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline — strongly preferred.

Prior experience at a Big 4 firm, top-tier investment bank, or global management consultancy is an advantage.

Required Skills
Project & Program Management
  • Proven track record of managing multi-workstream projects.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) and tools (JIRA, MS Project, Confluence).
Capital Markets & Regulatory Knowledge
  • Deep familiarity with US capital markets regulations: Dodd-Frank, SEC/CFTC reporting, Basel frameworks, trade and transaction reporting.
  • Working knowledge of trade lifecycle, risk management, and financial products across asset classes.
  • Ability to engage credibly with data engineers, quant analysts, and technology architects on regulatory data and reporting platforms.
  • Comfort with data analysis tools (SQL, Excel, Power BI) for oversight and QA — not necessarily hands-on coding.
Soft Skills
  • Executive presence with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Structured problem-solving with the ability to synthesize ambiguous information into clear recommendations.
  • High degree of ownership, stakeholder management capability, and comfort in client-facing settings.
