Job summary

RegEdge is seeking a Director of Trade Data Analysis and Transformation to lead data quality and control frameworks for complex option and equity trade data. You will drive FINRA regulatory reporting, data engineering, and cross-functional program leadership across Trade Surveillance and BI teams.

Qualifications

  • Master of Science degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, IT or related field.
  • 1 year of experience in trade/data reporting or related field with architecting reporting pipelines.
  • In lieu of MS, 5 years of progressive experience in trade reporting and data reconciliation.
  • National telecommuting offered.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

RegEdge is deepening its trade surveillance and regulatory reporting practice and is seeking a seasoned leader to own data quality and control frameworks across complex option and equity trade data. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of FINRA regulatory reporting, data engineering, and cross-functional program leadership. You will direct analytics initiatives across Trade Surveillance and business intelligence, automate compliance processes and reconciliations, and mentor the next generation of the team.

Role Description

Oversee resource allocation and delivery for regulatory reporting initiatives, driving the design and implementation of control frameworks to ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance. Lead management of complex option and equity trade data, validating execution accuracy and system linkages while enhancing database structures and developing SQL/Python solutions to meet FINRA requirements. Manage cross-functional data projects across Trade Surveillance, business intelligence, and regulatory reporting, coordinating stakeholder requirements, defining reporting standards, and guiding SDLC processes for seamless production transitions. Direct analytics initiatives to deliver actionable insights, strengthen risk management, and optimize workflows, while expanding oversight to foreign equity transactions and ensuring integration with evolving regulatory frameworks. Provide strategic leadership in automating compliance processes and reconciliations through advanced scripting in Java, Python, and C#, enabling timely error resolution and improved reporting integrity. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align data strategy with business objectives, while mentoring junior team members and fostering knowledge sharing to enhance organizational capabilities.

  • 1 year of experience in the job offered or 1 year of experience in Trade and Transaction Reporting. The required experience must include architecting and building transaction reporting and data correction pipelines, building comprehensive reconciliation systems, facilitating resource allocation across projects and knowledge of FINRA requirements.
  • In lieu of a Master of Science degree and 1 year of experience we accept a Bachelor of Science or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Science and Mathematics, Information Technology or a related field and 5 years of progressive experience in the job offered or 5 years of progressive experience in Trade and Transaction Reporting. The required experience must include architecting and building transaction reporting and data correction pipelines, building comprehensive reconciliation systems, facilitating resource allocation across projects and knowledge of FINRA requirements.
