Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1+ year mortgage loan servicing or related experience preferred.
  • Experience with servicing transfers and investor reporting preferred.
  • Experience with major mortgage investors (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, etc.) preferred.
  • Strong analytical, research, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily reconciliation of loans sold servicing-released and verify investor Purchase Advice accuracy.
  • Research and resolve Purchase Advice discrepancies with investors and internal partners.
  • Coordinate servicing transfers and required investor/subservicer notifications.
  • Prepare servicing transfer data, Transfer of Ownership Notices, and related documents.
  • Complete investor reporting, remittance, and balancing activities for applicable investors.
  • Assist with P&I and T&I reconciliations.
  • Research cash outages and discrepancies in investor custodial accounts.
  • Coordinate with Accounting to record funds and adjustments accurately.

At Northpointe Bank, we believe your career should empower you — to grow, contribute, and find purpose. We’re hiring a Capital Markets Servicing Specialist to support the accurate and timely transfer of mortgage loan servicing following the sale of loans to investors.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented mortgage professional who enjoys analyzing financial activity, resolving discrepancies, and coordinating across teams. You’ll work closely with Capital Markets, Loan Servicing, Accounting, subservicers, and investors to help ensure servicing transfers, reconciliations, and reporting are completed accurately and on time.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform daily reconciliation of loans sold servicing-released and verify investor Purchase Advice accuracy
  • Research and resolve Purchase Advice discrepancies with investors and internal business partners
  • Coordinate servicing transfers and required investor and subservicer notifications
  • Prepare servicing transfer data, Transfer of Ownership Notices, document packages, and related correspondence
  • Complete investor reporting, remittance, and balancing activities for applicable investors
  • Assist with Principal and Interest (P&I) and Taxes and Insurance (T&I) reconciliations
  • Research cash outages and discrepancies within investor custodial accounts
  • Reconcile escrow balances and buydown funds associated with servicing transfers
  • Coordinate with Accounting to ensure funds and financial adjustments are accurately recorded
  • Support bulk servicing loan purchases and designated loan boarding activities
  • Research and resolve investor, subservicer, and internal inquiries related to post-sale servicing activity
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to servicing transfer, reconciliation, and reporting processes

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field preferred
  • 1+ year of mortgage loan servicing, secondary marketing, post-closing, accounting/reconciliation, or related mortgage banking experience preferred
  • Experience with servicing transfers, investor reporting, loan sale reconciliation, or subservicer activity preferred
  • Experience working with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, Federal Home Loan Bank, or other mortgage investors preferred
  • Working knowledge of residential mortgage servicing and secondary-market loan sale processes
  • Strong analytical, research, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook and the ability to learn mortgage and investor systems
