Job summary

Truist in North Carolina seeks an Operations Analyst for Capital Markets Operations to support derivative, securities, loan trading and agency services. You will perform client onboarding, trade capture, settlement, confirmations, and margin processing in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with clients and internal partners to ensure accurate processing.

The role requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of front-to-back processing in corporate and investment banking.

Qualifications

• BS/BA Degree or equivalent education and related training, or 5-8 years related experience.
• Excel proficiency and Microsoft Office skills; may need demonstration.
• Strong interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Technical expertise of capital markets products and technologies.
• Prior bank or brokerage operations experience preferred.
• Knowledge of brokerage systems and front-to-back processing in Corporate & Investment Banking.

• Process transactions supporting Derivative Trading, Securities Trading, Loan Trading, or Agency Services lines of business within Capital Markets Operations
• Perform core operational tasks including client onboarding, trade capture, securities settlement and clearance, confirmations, client support, or margin/collateral processing
• Complete daily tasks independently within specified time parameters
• Interact with clients, line-of-business teammates, and support teammates to process requests and resolve issues
• Ensure functional procedures and controls are followed and maintained
• Coordinate internally and communicate with external clients and Technology, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Sales, and Trading partners
• Enter data correctly and efficiently in a fast-paced, multitasking environment

Requirements

• BS/BA Degree, or equivalent education and related training, or 5-8 years related experience
• Understanding of Microsoft Office software, especially Excel; may be required to demonstrate proficiency
• Excellent interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated technical expertise of select capital markets products and technologies
• Prior experience in bank or brokerage operations with increased levels of responsibility preferred
• Knowledge of brokerage systems and operational processing environments preferred
• FINRA Series 99 or 7 preferred
• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry
• Advanced degree is a plus
• Knowledge of front-to-back processing within Corporate & Investment Banking, including familiarity with multiple derivatives asset classes
• Experience supporting and maintaining ISDA and related Capital Markets documentation
• Experience with client onboarding, counterparty maintenance, and post-onboarding lifecycle management
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills; Power BI or other data analysis tools are a plus
• Process improvement, workflow optimization, and automation experience
• Functional knowledge of financial regulations, including the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, is a plus
• Experience working with onboarding, documentation, trading, and client reference data platforms
• English language fluency required
