Truist Financial Corporation seeks a Documentation Specialist within the Capital Markets Client Onboarding group to support onboarding and ongoing maintenance of Capital Markets clients across Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, Broker Dealer, and related product lines.

The role serves as a key liaison among Front Office, Legal, Operations and Technology to ensure client records, documentation, and supporting systems remain accurate and up to date throughout the client lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA Degree, or equivalent education and related training or 5-8 years related experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise of select capital markets products and technologies.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office software, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, track, and maintenance of trading-related documentation and associated system records (ISDA Master Agreements, CSAs, FX Agreements, etc.).
  • Support post-onboarding activities such as legal entity updates, mergers and acquisitions, name changes, and counterparty record management.
  • Collaborate with Front Office, Legal, Operations and Technology to ensure client records remain accurate and compliant throughout the lifecycle.

Regular or Temporary: Regular Language Fluency: English (Required) Work Shift: 1st shift (United States of America) Please review the following job description: This role is responsible for processing transactions that supports Derivative Trading, Securities Trading, Loan Trading or Agency Services Lines of Business within Capital Markets Operations. Major responsibilities include working on core operational tasks including Client On-Boarding, Trade Capture, Securities Settlement and Clearance, Confirmations, Client Support or Margin/Collateral processing. This role requires the ability to work in a fast paced environment, multi task with strong communication skills, and to enter data correctly and efficiently is essential. Additional responsibilities include internal coordination and to communicate with external clients as well as Technology, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Sales and Trading internal partners.

  • 1. Process transactions as specifically required by job function and work independently to complete daily tasks within specified time parameters.
  • 2. Interact with clients, teammates from the LOB and other support teammates to process requests and resolve issues

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Knowledge of front-to-back processing within Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB), including familiarity with multiple derivatives asset classes.
  • Experience supporting and maintaining ISDA and related Capital Markets documentation.
  • Experience with client onboarding, counterparty maintenance, and post-onboarding lifecycle management.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills; Power BI, or other data analysis tools are a plus.
  • Process improvement, workflow optimization, and automation experience.
  • Functional knowledge of financial regulations, including the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, is a plus.
  • Experience working with onboarding, documentation, trading, and client reference data platforms.
  • Prior experience in bank or brokerage operations with ability to show increased level of responsibilities Knowledge of brokerage systems and ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge of operational processing environment FINRA Series 99 or 7

The Documentation Specialist will be part of the Capital Markets Client Onboarding group. This candidate will support the onboarding and ongoing maintenance of Capital Markets clients across Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, Broker Dealer, and related product lines. The role serves as a key liaison among Front Office, Legal, Operations, and Technology partners to ensure client records, documentation, and supporting systems remain accurate and up to date throughout the client lifecycle. This role requires a self-motivated individual who is creative, detail-oriented, and able to identify opportunities to improve existing workflows, controls, and operational processes. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of client and counterparty data across multiple platforms while supporting regulatory, operational, and business requirements. Key responsibilities include the preparation, review, tracking, and maintenance of trading-related documentation and associated system records, including ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Annexes (CSAs), Foreign Exchange Agreements, Master Securities Forward Transaction Agreements, Master Repurchase Agreements, and related documentation. The candidate will also support post-onboarding activities such as legal entity updates, mergers and acquisitions, name changes, account maintenance, counterparty record management, regulatory elections, and data remediation efforts across various onboarding and trading systems. The candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and clients to facilitate onboarding, documentation maintenance, and ongoing account support. Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills are required, along with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering timely, accurate service to business partners and clients. The ideal candidate will have experience with Dodd-Frank, CFTC and SEC regulations, legal documentation, management of multiple priorities, participation in special projects, and supportive of process improvement and automation initiatives.
