Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; comfortable with data tools and models in a fast-moving environment.
  • Clear communicator with excellent interpersonal skills to engage with senior stakeholders.

Job description

As a Capital Markets Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in helping publicly traded companies better understand their shareholder base, engage with the investment community, and develop data-driven investor relations strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret ownership data from multiple sources to identify shareholder positions, peer benchmarks, and market trends, delivering accurate and timely reports to clients.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, building trusted relationships and ensuring service is aligned with each client’s investor relations needs.
  • Conduct regular client outreach to share market developments, sector updates, and strategic insights that support client preparedness and long-term competitiveness.
  • Develop presentation materials and support senior team members in client meetings, contributing to relationship development and client retention.
  • Collaborate with global colleagues and internal partners to share knowledge, align on best practices, and deliver a consistent, high-quality client experience.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in capital markets, investor relations, financial services, or a comparable client-facing role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into clear, actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; comfortable working with data tools and models in a fast-moving environment.
  • Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage confidently with clients, including senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working directly with investor relations teams or publicly traded companies.
  • Familiarity with shareholder analysis, buy-side research, or equity capital markets.
  • Exposure to global teams and cross-border collaboration.

This position will be located in Chicago and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.

The base pay range for this role is $66,000 - $112,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
