Job summary

EPCOR USA INC in Glendale, Arizona, seeks a temporary Capital & Governance Accountant I to support capital governance, reporting, and budgeting for 2027 with potential for permanent placement. You will collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure compliance with US GAAP and SOX in a rate-regulated environment.

Responsibilities include developing governance policies, dashboards, and quarterly reporting; training project managers; and coordinating capital inputs for budgeting,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA, or CMA preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with capital projects and project management.
• Experienced in Oracle GL, Oracle FA, Oracle PM.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, esp. Excel.
• US GAAP knowledge, SOX, and capital compliance.
• Ability to work with engineering and operations teams.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and review of Capital Governance & Reporting processes.
• Provide training to Project Managers on governance and reporting.
• Monitor, measure, and report on capital project delivery metrics.
• Assist in developing a capital project dashboard for reporting.
• Coordinate annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning inputs.
• Contribute to rate case applications and regulatory filings.
• Strengthen relations between Capital Governance & Reporting and other departments.
• Develop and maintain processes and systems for reporting (SharePoint, Oracle Projects).
