Job summary

Portland General Electric seeks a Senior Accountant in Financial Reporting to lead SEC/GAAP reporting, ensure compliance with SEC, FERC, and OPUC, and support SOX controls. The role expects strong technical accounting and cross-disciplinary collaboration within a hybrid Portland team.

You will analyze new accounting standards, advise on accounting issues, and collaborate with finance counterparts to optimize reporting processes and ensure timely, compliant disclosures across all filings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and five+ years of accounting experience.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Experience with GAAP, SEC, FERC and SOX requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead in GAAP-based SEC Financial Reporting (10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks) and ensure timely filings.
• Support in preparing quarterly and annual FERC Form 1, Form 3-Q and OPUC reports and ESG reporting.
• Perform technical accounting research and communicate complex issues with recommendations.
• Assist in SOX 302/404 compliance program and related controls.
