Golden State Water Company, headquartered in SAN DIMAS, CA, seeks a Temporary Utility Plant Accountant to support capital project accounting, general ledger close, and regulatory reporting. The role emphasizes accuracy, internal controls, and cooperation with engineers and audit teams.

Requires a BA in accounting with 5 years of experience, familiarity with JD Edwards/ERP, strong Excel and communication skills. This temporary role offers hourly pay and exposure to SEC/CPUC reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related discipline.
• Five years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility, preferably in water/utilities.
• Proficient with advanced spreadsheet functions (Excel).
• Experience with JD Edwards software or major ERP is a plus.
• Good communication and analytical skills.

Responsabilités

• Sets up capital project work orders and budgets; monitors status with engineers.
• Performs monthly/quarterly GL reconciliations and roll-forwards for utility plant accounts.
• Maintains fixed asset accounting including depreciation and sub-ledger to GL reconciliation.
• Assists with quarterly Form 10-Q/10-K and CPUC reporting; supports audits.
