Job summary

TEP Tucson Electric Power Company is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their Corporate Accounting team. This crucial role involves maintaining accounting records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with GAAP, FERC, SEC, and other regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting, at least 2 years of experience for the Accountant II level, or 4 years for a Senior role, and proficiency in Oracle Financials. Public accounting experience and CPA credentials are preferred for this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ accounting experience for Accountant II; 4 years for Accountant Senior.
• Knowledge of public accounting and CPA designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
• Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance of financial statements with GAAP, FERC, and SEC.
