Job summary

The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) within the Education & Labor Cabinet is seeking a Capital Construction Project Manager in Frankfort to oversee regulations, planning, and property transactions for K-12 facilities. The role involves maintaining project files, supporting districts, and reviewing designs for educational suitability.

You will also develop district Facility Plans, track deadlines, and present to associations such as KSBA, KASBO, and KASA.

Qualifications

One year of experience as a licensed professional architect, engineer, landscape architect or certified interior designer.
Must maintain licensure/certification for the length of employment.
Substitute education for experience is not allowed.

Responsibilities

Administers regulations and processes related to capital construction projects and district facility planning.
Creates and maintains capital construction project files and provides assistance to districts and consultants.
Develops district Facility Plans and review processes, ensuring compliance and deadlines.
Provides presentations to districts and organizations supporting districts.
