Job summary

Wills Group, headquartered in La Plata, Maryland, seeks a Construction Project Manager (Late-Stage) to oversee corporate capital projects, ensure design specs and budgets are met, and deliver projects on schedule. You’ll work with design, engineering and finance teams to monitor progress and address challenges while upholding safety standards.

This field-based role offers a hybrid schedule with on-site field days and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field; equivalent progressive experience may be considered.
• Award contracts aligned with corporate objectives.
• Coordinate procurement to meet deadlines.
• On-site supervision of contractor performance and timelines.
• Strong organizational and communication skills for multiple projects.
• Ability to make data-driven decisions while maintaining budget adherence and deadlines.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.
• Pre-employment background and credit checks.
• Driver’s license with mileage reimbursement for travel to stores/markets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction and renovation of corporate facilities.
• Lead bid process and select contractors meeting cost, timeline, and quality targets.
• Prepare and monitor capital budgets; report financial performance to senior management.
• Coordinate design execution, permits, and contractor/consultant performance to ensure timely completion.
• Evaluate contractor performance and manage relationships for cost efficiency and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and safety standards.
• Perform site visits to monitor progress and quality control.
