Job summary

McCormick & Company in Hunt Valley, MD seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead large capital projects across multiple sites in the Americas. The role reports to the Sr Project Manager and requires developing charters, budgets, and schedules while coordinating cross-functional teams.

You will drive FAT, commissioning, and field troubleshooting, manage vendor relationships, and push continuous improvement. Travel ~20% and a hybrid work model are expected, with strong emphasis on safety and GMP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 7+ years of project engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Proven leadership, planning, organizing and communication skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects from evaluation through implementation.
• Contractor management, bid process, field installation supervision, and change order management.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel ~20%.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering leadership to cross-functional project teams across sites.
• Develop strategic capital plans with Americas Engineering.
• Develop charters, cost estimates, schedules, and budgets for projects.
• Prepare capital request documentation and drive project success criteria.
• Manage scope, cost, and schedule; supervise field installation and commissioning.
• Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate contracts; approve invoices.
• Lead FAT planning, installation, commissioning, and verification activities.
• Drive process improvements, standards adherence and knowledge transfer.
