Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a Product Manager, Capillary Electrophoresis Software, for a 6-month onsite contract in Pleasanton, CA. Lead strategy, development, and lifecycle of CE software, partnering with R&D, marketing, and services to deliver high‑value capabilities.

The role focuses on translating customer needs into robust software, driving AI and automation, and ensuring cybersecurity and data integrity in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, engineering, computer science, bioinformatics, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of product management/software product management experience in life sciences or related field.
• Experience translating customer needs into software requirements.
• Experience partnering with software engineering or R&D teams.
• Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Define the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle plans for CE software products.
• Develop deep understanding of customer workflows, lab environments, pain points, and unmet needs.
• Translate insights into clear requirements, priorities, and investment recommendations.
• Manage products across the full software lifecycle including releases, maintenance, and security considerations.
• Build business cases and prioritize initiatives based on customer value and feasibility.
• Define and monitor KPIs for adoption, engagement, usability, and commercial performance.
• Collaborate with instrument, consumables, applications, and services teams for a connected customer experience.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI/ML to CE data analysis and workflows.
• Work with R&D and data science teams to evaluate feasibility and value of new technologies.
